Answer by Pruthvi Sodha:

Posters.

Have you ever noticed the color scheme of Nolan's Batman Triology?

This stuck me once, when I searched all the three movies on google one-after-another. I saw something unusual here: batman begins, the dark knight, the dark knight rises.

Yes, the color in the posters!
It signifies that particular batman movie and what is happening in gotham city.

It also signifies something else, which only batman fans will understand from the following poster.

"The night is the darkest before dawn."

EDIT:
People thinking about this as made-up thing, I've found a Reddit thread for you guys which is dated 2 years ago. Please also refer to that discussion here: The color palette of the Dark Knight movies is an allegory for a night cycle • /r/movies
