What is a word people constantly misuse? by Dushka Zapata
Answer by Dushka Zapata:
Do you know the difference between uninterested and disinterested?
Uninterested means not interested, not engaged, not concerned.
Disinterested means unbiased, not influenced; someone who has no particular interest in how something shakes out.
A judge should be both interested (engaged, involved, concerned) and disinterested (unbiased).
